To get the most from your Amigo stable mirror it should be fitted to a firm, flat wooden surface. If your stable is brick or block built we recommend the use of a backboard, this will prevent any distortion of the image and further reduce the chance of an acrylic mirror being broken.
Polycarbonate is a versatile, tough plastic used for a variety of applications, from bulletproof windows to compact disks (CDs). The main advantage of polycarbonate over other types of plastic is unbeatable strength combined with light weight. While acrylic is 17% stronger than glass, polycarbonate is nearly unbreakable. Bulletproof windows and enclosures as seen inside banks or at drive-throughs are often made of polycarbonate. Add to this the advantage that polycarbonate is just one-sixth as heavy as glass, and the only drawback is that it is more expensive than either acrylic, glass and other similar materials.
We supply all of our mirrors with fixtures, fittings and user friendly instructions and recomend that the clear protective film should not be removed until after the mirror is fitted in position
Our mirrors should be mounted to a flat surface or a solid wood backing such as Plywood or MDF. If you have a flat, plywood lined wall then they can be mounted to that at an appropriate height. If you do not have a suitable surface to mount your mirror then we strongly advise you purchase a mirror with one of our weatherproof MDF backboards, to ensure optimum performance and safety, and avoid any distortions.
In addition to Amigo Stable Mirrors we have our sister company, Eclipse Equestrian. Eclipse now offers a range of products for the stable, arena, yard, equestrian shows and gifts for your family and friends.
